The mothers and older sisters of our school children have the opportunity to learn basic skills in reading, writing, mathmatics and hygiene. They can also learn how to sew and embroider – skills that make it possible for them to make and sell clothing and thus contribute to their own livelihood. Knowledge and independence are two important factors that play a decisive role in improving the status of women in village communities and ultimately in society as a whole. In fact, the response has been so positive that we now have waiting lists for the coveted spots in the Women Empowerment programmes.

Computer lessons are a very important part of education today. Even for the CARE & FAIR students. In each school we have some computers, but not enough for all students. Currently 2-3 children are working on the same computer in computer class. The other half of the class reads in the library. In order to make the computer classes more efficient and to ensure that all students have access to a computer during class, we need additional computers.
A computer, including furniture and licenses costs € 500.00
Please enable the school children the sole use of a computer.
The Kantilal Vidya Manddir school is the first and oldest Project supported by CARE & FAIR.
It was founded by Mr. Manubai Mewawala in 1987. With 16 children and two teachers the lessons
were initially held in the shade of a tree.

School Education is very important for the future of the children, but it is also very important to play. Often the playground is run down and the equipment needs to be replaced. Playing outside is not just about letting of steam. It is a vital part of childhood that helps children develop physical strength, coordination and balance. It also helps them to concentrate on their school work.
For CARE & FAIR it is important that the children are not hurt while playing, so new slides, swings, rocker and more is always needed.

An alternative to supporting a school child is to sponsor a school class. A class consists of about 20 to 40 children. You get once a year information about the children and the activities of the class. These costs include two school uniforms (in India, Pakistan and Nepal usual), and teaching materials.
Annual costs for a school class = € 1,700.00 – to 3,400.00 (depending on the size of the class and school level).

A good education can be ensured only with well-trained teachers. CARE & FAIR would offer this for his school children. The teachers who work in our schools are qualified and teach the children with a lot of dedication, patience and enthusiasm the subject matter. CARE & FAIR would also help in the future to give the children a good education.

Every child should have the opportunity of a good school education, so that they can later pursue skilled professionster. Most parents in the carpet knotting regions would like to send their children to school. Unfortunately, there is a lack of in India and Pakistan still on good free educational institutions that are accessible to everyone.

Cliniks are very important. Our sponored clinics, minor and major injuries are treated for free, pain relief and treating diseases. A sponsorship for a whole clinic helps CARE & FAIR to plan long term and reliably.

Each clinic requires physicians and staff. Only healthy children can learn well in school, and only healthy adults can have a job. CARE & FAIR would ensure this by standing more plentiful and well-trained doctors in the clinics.
A doctor will cost about € 2.200,00 a year.
