Education and Health for Carpet Knotting Families

02 / IP – Students Health Care Program

Knowledge is important, but health is essential. All children at CARE & FAIR schools are regularly examined every four weeks. The medical doctors are hired specifically to work in our schools. They check the children’s throats and teeth, and listen to their chests. Every young patient has their own health card on which all of the findings from the exams are documented.

The doctors treat minor ailments and illnesses immediately. They frequently applie bandages, for example when children injure themselves while playing outside. In the event of more serious conditions, the children are transferred to a CARE & FAIR clinic for further treatment.

They also teach the students basic information about hygiene and common illnesses. After all, health education is one of the best ways to prevent disease. In this case, knowledge and health go hand in Hand.
