CARE & FAIR has launched another valuable project: a scholarship for girls.

Objective of the Scholarship
The aim of this scholarship is to enable our students to access higher education after completing the 8th grade. The scholarship was initiated by owners of a well-known carpet dealer, which has been sponsoring a C & F school for many years.

After thorough planning and development of:

• Reviewing available options: Analysis of educational offerings in the area.
• Cost breakdown: The costs of the respective colleges, including tuition fees, are important. The colleges are located in Bhadohi and Gyanpur, which are close to our schools.
• Additional costs: Consideration of textbooks, uniforms, shoes, sweaters, backpacks, and bicycles.

The following conditions for the scholarship were established:

• No strict focus on academic performance: Individuals with potential are also given a chance.
• Financial support: Assistance for students who cannot afford college.
• Support for learning difficulties: Inclusive education for everyone.
• Engagement and leadership qualities: Valuing social engagement in school and the community.

The selection process involves:

• Establishment of a committee: Candidates are selected.
• After selection: The committee members meet again to discuss the scholarship process with the selected student and her guardians.

As with other classes, the academic year for study begins in April.
This girls’ scholarship presents a great opportunity to change the lives of girls through education and to provide them with a better future. Your contribution can help break down barriers and promote equality in education.
Currently, eight girls are already receiving a scholarship, with two sponsored by
CARE & FAIR Europe and six by private individuals. Sponsors are informed quarterly about the activities, grades, and progress of their sponsored students.
