In 1997 in the village of Vern, in the middle of the carpet-knotting region, CARE & FAIR financed a large elementary school with a library, a small in-house doctor’s office and an affiliated day-care center. Once the classes have reached

their full size, a total of 1,000 children will be able to receive lessons and care. Meanwhile, financing for current expenses are fully raised by local exporters.
