CARE & FAIR opened this Health Care Center in Kathmandu as early as October 1996. First-aid is administered there, smaller injuries are treated, check-ups are carried out, and medicine is administered free of charge. A TBC-Programme and vaccinations as well as family planning programmes
round out the services provided. Since 1997 there has been a small laboratory for the implementation of medical tests, and since September 1999 X-ray equipment as well. For emergencies two ambulances have been made available, ready for use round the clock and able to reach bigger hospitals swiftly.
