The association CARE & FAIR – Teppichhandel gegen Kinderarbeit e.V. is an industry association and is recognized as such by the tax and revenue office. All grants can be deducted as business expenses from the taxable income.

The annual subscription costs

·          for full members: € 180,

·          for sustaining members: € 125,

·          for subsidiaries: € 50  for each subsidiary

In addition, we levy  an apportionment fee of 1% (one percent) of the purchase price (fob) from the importing full members for all hand knotted carpets which have  been imported from the countries of origin India, Nepal, and Pakistan.

The retail industry usually accepts the additional expenses of 1% arising for the importers due to the CARE & FAIR membership.

For individuals, donors and sponsors:

In 2005, we founded the "Foerderverein CARE & FAIR e.V." and meanwhile it has been temporarily recognized as non-profit-making by the tax and revenue office (declaration of membership).

The association’s mission is the promotion of education and instruction of children in the countries of hand knotted oriental carpets, in connection with the combat of illegal child labour in the oriental carpet production.  This mission is being realised above all by the support of school and hospital projects in India, Nepal and Pakistan and in particular by the exclusive collaboration with “CARE & FAIR - Teppichhandel gegen Kinderarbeit e.V.”.

The annual subscription costs € 50,00.

An appropriated attestation, which can be deducted from the taxable income, will be issued for donations and membership subscriptions granted by “non-industry-colleagues” to “CARE & FAIR e.V.”.

In addition to school and medical institutions you can also sponsor teachers, medical practitioners and pupils or school classes

A sponsorship costs:

·          a school or a clinic (depending on its size and coverage) 

·          from € 8,000to € 25,000,

·          a medical practitioner € 2,200,

·          a teacher € 750,

·          a pupil € 85,

·          a school class € 1,700 to € 3,400 (depending on the number of pupils)

·          each for one year.
