C & F was first asked to sponsor this project in 1996. Two years later the
school was taken over with 220 children being educated under the open sky.
Following that C & F received land for a new building and started construction
in 1999. The school was finally ready and inaugurated in February 2001 with 310
children in eight classes. The area covered consists of seven villages with a
population of approx. 18.000.
Since 2000 ORIA, the American Rug Importers Association, sponsored 48 children,
who where instructed in two class rooms. 2002 these children were integrated in
our
From 2006 to 2009 ORIA paid for all the running expenses of the school.
In the academic session 2009 the Computer Education Program started in that
school, where eight PC workstations have been set up during the summer holidays.
The children in classes 8 to 10 receive regular tuition.
At the same time our long standing member Nanimarquina from
Our School and team of teachers are recognised by U.P. Basic Siksha Parishad
(State Government Education Dept.) as well as the by the local Government Health
Dept. By this village people will be motivated to accept our work on education
as well as care regarding government immunisation schedules.
